Tom Bassinger
Managing Director
Mr. Bassinger co-founded Rockport Venture Partners in 2001 based on his extensive entrepreneurial, operating and financial experience. Previously, Mr. Bassinger held senior executive positions in two high-growth, venture backed companies and played a key role in raising over $60 million in private equity for those organizations. Mr. Bassinger’s contributions to corporate strategy, strategic alliances and product development were central to the success of Sensitech, which achieved Inc. Magazine’s Fastest Growing 500 Companies for two consecutive years, and which was one of the Top 50 fastest growing companies in New England for three consecutive years. Prior to becoming a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Bassinger was a Senior Associate with Coopers & Lybrand's Center for Excellence Consulting group where he implemented Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Just-In-Time (JIT), and revolutionary product development and manufacturing design methodologies for Fortune 100 companies. Mr. Bassinger currently serves on the Board of Directors of FluidNet. Mr. Bassinger holds a Bachelors and Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
Mark Bosland
Managing Director
Mr. Bosland co-founded Rockport Venture Partners in 2001. Previously, Mr. Bosland served as Vice President for the European Institutional Sales division of ING Barings. There he was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with European investment institutions through which he closed over $70 million in private placements. Previously, as Vice President for the European Institutional Sales division of Everen Securities, Mr. Bosland covered institutional clients in Germany, Switzerland, Finland and England. Mr. Bosland has spent the majority of his investment career in the life science sector. Mr. Bosland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Rutgers University.
Jennifer Landis
Principal
Prior to joining Rockport in 2006, Ms. Landis served as a Management Consultant with Clarion Healthcare Consulting. With Clarion, Ms. Landis was part of a global pharmaceutical company team that led the successful integration and initial commercialization of acquired therapeutic products across Europe. Previously, as a public equities analyst for a boutique buy-side firm, Ms. Landis specialized in the medical device sector. Her investment recommendations generated returns that contributed a 55% IRR to the overall portfolio. Previously, Ms. Landis was an Associate for a boutique private placement firm where she was responsible for the review and management of transactions in the technology and life sciences industries. Ms. Landis holds a B.A. from Emory University and an M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.
